Solihull Council New Administration

At the annual meeting of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council last night (Tuesday 25 May) Cllr Ian Hedley (Lib Dem) was elected as the Leader of the Council.

Cllr Hedley will lead the administration of Liberal Democrats and Labour Councillors, working together, to form his administration.

Cllr Hedley commented on his election "I am humbled by the responsibility entrusted in me as Leader of the Council. I look forward to serving everyone in our Borough".

In addition to Cllr Hedley becoming Leader, the Cabinet Members, Chairs and Vice Chairs of Scrutiny Boards and other committees were agreed.

The joint Liberal Democrat and Labour Cabinet is as follows:
