Highlights of the festival include:

· A celebration Tea Party with Walk down Memory Lane at Wierside Court (Thursday) and St Stephen's Court ( Friday)
· Henna workshop at the Indian Community Centre

There will also be an exhibition of local artwork and photography to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Orts Road Estate. The displays include work from St John's Primary School, St John and St Stephen's Church and the surrounding area. The exhibition runs from 9am to 7pm Thursday to Saturday and 12.30pm to 5.30pm Sunday, at St John and St Stephen Church.

Bet Tickner, Reading's Lead Councillor for Communities and Neighbourhoods, said: "The East Reading Festival always provides lots of fun for all ages with something for everyone in its programme. Organising a five-day event like this takes a huge amount of energy and commitment from our many partners and all the local people who take part. We're very grateful to them and wish them another successful year - and sunshine."
