Woman robbed by her car near Southsea Common
Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed after parking her car in Southsea Terrace opposite The White Horse pub between 8.15 and 8.45pm on Tuesday, June 30.
The 51-year-old woman opened the boot of her car after parking when she was pushed from behind by a man. He threatened her before taking a significant amount of cash from her handbag which was in the boot of the car.
The man then ran off across Southsea Common with two others.
He is described as:
- White
- 16 to 18 years old
- 5ft 8 ins tall
- Slim to medium build
- Spotty face
- Short mousy brown coloured hair
- Wearing no top and white three quarter length trousers
DC Christopher Dinenage said: "There were a number of people sitting on the common around the time of the incident; however the woman was unable to shout for help as she was overcome with shock and fear."
