Police seek witnesses to theft in Waterlooville
Police are seeking witnesses to a theft that happened on Stakes Hill Road on Thursday, July 15.
Between 5.30pm and 6pm a 26-year-old woman was walking along the road when she had her handbag snatched by two men. The victim fell to the ground when the bag was snatched, sustaining a graze to her knee.
The handbag contained a purse with £15 in cash, a NatWest card and a key fob with four keys on it.
The suspects are described as:
Two men both approximately 20 years old and of medium build. Both white and both with dark brown hair.
The first was 5ft 5ins tall and was wearing a black t-shirt and dark bottoms, with white trainers.
The second was approx 5ft 10ins tall and wore a blue and white striped jumper. Possibly wearing white trainers.
PC Rachel Williams said: "This incident occurred during daylight hours on a busy main road. There would have been people in the area. The victim had just passed the new dental
surgery on Stakes Hill Road.
"This sort of crime does not happen very often and it is very surprising that it has occurred at such at time and place. We are hoping that witnesses to this theft will come forward."
