Residents are invited to attend a public information event to update them on the Old Fire Station development.
People can drop in between 6.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday 10 February at the OVADA Gallery and ask questions and share ideas.
There will be short presentation about the project at 7pm by Councillor Bob Price, Leader of Oxford City Council and Duncan Shrubsole, Director of Policy and External Affairs at Crisis.
The event is an opportunity for Oxford City Council and Crisis to update all those who are interested in the project on how it is progressing and to present some responses to feedback received at the last event in October.
A planning application has been submitted and we are now working together to develop the detailed plans for the inside the building.
Councillor Bob Price, Leader of Oxford City Council, says: "This event will be an opportunity for the public to see how the many ideas that have been received have been taken on board and how we are hoping to shape the building for the future.
Leslie Morphy, Chief Executive of Crisis, says: "We are seeking to create an inspirational building that will ensure the Old Fire Station continues to play an active role in the arts and cultural life of Oxford whilst, at the same time, helping to end homelessness in the city.
"We have consulted widely on our plans and look forward to updating everyone on the progress we are making."
Oxford City Council is working with Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people, to redevelop the Old Fire Station, after a bid was awarded funding from the Government's Places of Change Programme.
The building will be home to a new Crisis Skylight centre providing education, training and employment opportunities for homeless and vulnerably housed people and a social enterprise, Crisis Skylight Café, open to the public.
There will also be high quality, flexible spaces for artistic professional development and training, and for community groups to use to offer performance and visual arts events, regular classes and courses for the public.
These spaces will accommodate an auditorium, a galley and retail space, and a creative workspace for artists and designers.
Brought together under one roof and through interconnected spaces, people from across the city will be able to meet, learn, network participate and ultimately move forward in their lives.
