About Oxford City Football Club

Oxford City Football Club's origins date back to 1882 making it the oldest football club in Oxford. Approximately 7 years ago the club embarked upon a growth strategy which has made it the largest participation club in the region with over 30 teams covering all levels from age 4 up to veterans. The clubs policy of inclusion ensures training and competitive football is also available for players with learning disabilities within the Oxford City Casuals teams.

The club is run entirely on a voluntary basis with a dedicated board of directors and committee members to ensure the objectives of the club are fully adhered to offering the very highest standard of coaching and playing facilities for local players. The efforts of all involved have been recognised by the Football Association with the club being awarded the FA Charter Community Club Status. In 2008 Oxford City FC won the coveted award of Football Foundation Community Club of the Year.

Football Teams

The number of youngsters playing football at the club continues to grow in line with the development plans submitted to the FA.  This season an additional Oxford City boys teams has been formed to play in the Midland Premier Youth league. The Oxford City Girls teams have also been expanded across all age groups at the club. The club now has three Oxford City Ladies teams in place who have demonstrated their merit with the Oxford City ladies 1st team being County Champions six times in the last seven seasons.  The club also hosts The Oxford Football Partnership in links with Oxford & Cherwell Valley College and Premier Sports Group providing a unique football club learning environment and as a result three new Oxford City Under19 teams have been formed.
The club also has Educational Partnerships with Bucks New University based at Wycombe and Ruskin College aimed at more mature students.
