WE are appealing for information about an incident of racially aggravated public disorder in Manorfield Road, Little Billing, Northampton during the early evening of last Saturday (10 July).
Between 5.15pm and 5.50pm, a black man and his three-year-old daughter were cycling in the parkland alongside Manorfield Road when they had to stop because of a problem with the girl's bike.
A large black-and-white dalmatian came towards the girl and put its head into her face. The man pushed the dog away, fearing for his daughter's safety.
The man with the dog then came towards them and became extremely racially abusive. There was a second dog with this man, this being described as a brown pit-bull type of dog. The offender is described as white, about 6ft tall, of slim build, aged in his mid-to-late thirties with short blond or light-coloured hair.
The victim thought the man once had a broken nose. The offender was wearing a tee-shirt and jeans or trousers.
Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
