The University of Northampton will see 1,305 students graduate this week at the institution's Winter Award Ceremonies held at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on Sunday 14 February 2010.
Included in these graduands are the first cohort from the School of Health's highly successful FdSc Paramedic Science course and a group of five students from Dubai, the first to graduate from NorthamptonBusinessSchool's MA International Human Resource Management programme.
The School of The Arts will also see their first ever practice-led research in Performance PhD student Julia Lee Barclay graduate; instead of a more traditional written thesis, Julia has worked with both theory and creative practice.
The University will present Learning and Teaching Enhancement Awards to four members of its staff at these ceremonies; Dr Chris Ringrose, Principal Lecturer Learning and Teaching Development, School of The Arts, Roshni Khatri, Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy, School of Health, Anna Crouch, Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, School of Health and Dr Faith Tucker, Senior Lecturer in Geography, School of Social Sciences.
All will hold the title of Teaching Fellows at The University of Northampton and will be sharing their best practice across the institution.
Honorary Awards will be conferred on two high profile VIPs; local businessman and Chairman of Northampton Saints Rugby Club Keith Barwell, who receives an Honorary Fellowship, and former Daily Telegraph war correspondent and now author Tim Butcher, who receives an Honorary Doctorate.
