Hays Procurement & Supply Chain are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to work for a public sector organisation in Exeter.

Working in the procurement team, you will be responsible for a particular category, which will depend on your skill set, however IT procurement would be advantageous. Duties will include tendering for goods and services, and developing strong relationships with both customers and suppliers, in order to meet deadlines, and deliver savings.

Skills required for this role include:

Clear understanding of OJEU regulations and EU tendering process Ability to engage a range stakeholders Strong contract management experience, including negotiation of long-term contracts Proven track record of making significant savings Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
