For Local Artists in Newton Abbot Nicky Carole is fast becoming one of our regions most popular Local Artists. Her wonderful Encaustic Wax Art work comes under the heading Encaustic Art, otherwise known as Wax Art. As an Artist her Art derives from the ancient Greeks and Egyptians whose Artists would produce Paintings from using pigments melted with Wax and fused to the Painting surface using heat.  

For the past 2 years as an Artist Nicky has produced her Paintings whilst developing styles and techniques on a variety of surfaces. Her Artists style produces Encaustic Wax abstract Art because she believes that Paintings should mean different things to different people. As an Artist Nicky believes that her style of Painting means that every time you look at one of her Paintings you will see them differently. Nicky does not name her Paintings as she wants whoever takes the time to look at her Paintings  will see different things every time, which will allow their imagination to grow.

As a Local Encaustic Wax Artist, Nicky is inspired from life itself. Her Encaustic Wax Art derives from influences that nature itself produces. The colours in her Encaustic Paintings are a result of Nicky’s skill and imagination. One fellow Artist has stated that he loves the expressiveness of her abstracts and intermingling of colours within her Paintings which trigger off all sorts of chords in the mind!

Artists Commission

For Local Artists in Newton Abbot Nicky has been commissioned by individual clients as well as commercial clients to produce individual Encaustic Wax Art Paintings, her work can be seen all over the South West. As a Local Artist Nicky will talk to her clients before producing her Paintings. She will discover your personality and your general persona which she will then transfer into her Art work. Nicky will discuss with you the types of material she will use for her Paintings and the size of the Art work you would like produced.

As a Local Artist, Nicky’s  Encaustic work can be viewed at craft fairs and Art galleries. She can be found in Tavistocks Pannier Market on a Wednesday morning with some of her Encaustic Wax Paintings. Her Encaustic Art work can be seen at many commercial locations throughout the South West where she has been privately commissioned.
