ALSTOM GRID UK Ltd - Transformers based in Stafford is the leading business in the UK engaged in the design and manufacture of Power Transformers.
The Role

A 2yr training programme which shall, building upon the applicant's educational requirements and work background, lead to a suitable level of theoretical knowledge and background to enable application for Chartered Engineer status.
Throughout the course of the training period, the trainee shall maintain a log book suitable for submission as proof of training/background when applying for C.Eng status.

Training will include:
- General electrical design theory of power transformers: Thermal and electrical design aspects. Design of core and coils. Dielectric & Magnetic stress analysis. Evaluation of technical specifications.
