A 16-year-old boy from Milton Keynes was found guilty of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm on Tuesday (23/2).
The conviction relates to an incident in November 2008, where the offender approached a 16-year-old boy and assaulted him with a knife. The victim sustained cuts to his leg and hand. Following an area search the offender was arrested shortly after.
The 16-year old boy was charged with assault, occasioning grievous bodily harm on 5 February 2009.
PC Andy Pearce, investigating, said: "Thankfully, Milton Keynes does not have a knife crime culture and these types of incidents are rare. However, hopefully this should send a warning to all young people, that the carrying and use of knives will not be tolerated and the police will prosecute any such matters robustly."
The boy has been released on bail, until he is due to be sentenced at Huntingdon Crown Court on 23 March.
