Woburn Sands Folk Festival 10th July 2010
Woburn Sands Folk Festival Committee are holding their first ever folk music festival in Woburn Sands.
“A fun, friendly family folk day out”
The festival will take place on Saturday 10th July 2010 between 10am – 8pm in the lower field of Edgewick Farm, Woburn Sands.
FREE entry for all. FREE park & ride at Frost Garden Centre (MK17 8UE).
Lively folk music performed throughout the day by a wealth of local talent in traditional music and dance. Children’s entertainment includes story telling, face painting, bouncy castle and having fun learning to dance around the Maypole! Craft and local heritage stalls. Hot and cold food will be available along with vintage ice-cream. Real ales and beverages on sale in the beer tents.
Traditional English Clog Step Dancers, Sword Dancers, and Morris Dancers will also be performing in and around the Mowbray Green, Swan Pub, and the High Street.
Just a few of the artists performing at the festival are: Cruel Folk, Hogsty Oak, Living Archive Band, Moonshine, The Ampthill Mob and The Cabin Band.
In the evening, folk music sessions will be held in the villages local pubs.

“Welcome to our very first annual Folk Festival, we hope that you enjoy the day’s festivities. These have been planned to make your whole day an interesting and enjoyable one for all ages.
All of the day’s bands are giving their time free and we believe that we have got some of the finest and talented Folk entertainers to play for you.
As this is our first ever Festival we would welcome any of your suggestions on how to make the event better next year, so please come and talk to any of the Committee during the day.
We would also like to thank Woburn Sands Town Council for letting us use their field for the day, Greene King and Frost’s Garden Centre for their support. As well as many others who have also helped us to put this event together.
