"we have been in bartercard for 5+years, we will do between £50-£100k this year which is all business we would otherwise not get. it is not perfect and it is not and easy fix, but if you work at it, it is an excellent way of growing your business, i woud reccomend it to most businesses. there are lots of business' who blame bartercard for their lack of sucess in it working, my view it is usually their lack of effort which caused it not to work for them. happy to speak to anyone thinking of joining. mark Pete the Sweep harrogate"

I just wanted you to pass on my thanks to your wonderful string trio... they were absolutely superb all afternoon. Not sure they’ve played a gig where the diners joined in with the choruses! But they played on with aplomb even coming up with an impromptu version of Happy Birthday. I hoped they enjoyed it as much as we did – I’m pretty sure several people complemented them on the day and I know that l got lots of comments on how beautifully they played.
Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves was excellent and please thank them for waiting whilst I rounded up Anita and her sisters/nieces etc.

Not an experience I would recommend
"We were recommended to use this company by Cauldwell Estate Agents, in Milton Keynes. My wife and I were due to complete on the sale of our property a week before Christmas, and (mistakenly) thought if the Estate Agents were recommending these removers, it was a reputable company. The initial quote was competitive, and we were advised there would be three people carrying out the move.
However, on the day of the move only two people turned up. The quantity dropped to just one person when the owner left to carry out another job in the midst of our move.
In order to ensure we got everything loaded in a timely manner, my father and I had to assist in packing their vehicle - not something we envisaged having to do. By lunchtime there were finally three workers on the job. The unloading at our new home was relatively smooth, in spite of our carpets being soiled, and a majority of the boxes ended up in the dining room, regardless of what the labels said.
After the move my wife and I noticed several items had been damaged. As it was Christmas, rather than ring, I chose to text the owner of the company to inform him of the issues. In spite of sending several messages to the number we’d been using to communicate prior to our move, I did not get any acknowledgement. Customer Service did not appear to be part of the company’s ethos.
On the first working day of the New Year, I decided to call. After changing his story several times in regards to their terms and conditions - policies which were never provided - the owner refused to deal with my claims. This would suggest this company may not be insured! Whilst the value of the damage was not great, the principal still stands. During our conversation, I was informed I was lucky not to get charged waiting time whilst we went to collect the keys!! Makes one wonder if price gouging is part of their usual practice, since taking time to secure access to the new property is a standard part of the moving process?
All in all I am disappointed with D Jackson Removals, and would certainly go out of my way to NOT recommend anyone to use them.

Terrible customer service
"Dear Reader
I'm afraid I've only dealt with A Rapido once but my experience with them was so appalling that I will never recommend anyone use any of their services. I had sent in a pair of trousers for alterations which they quoted on and I agreed the price. It was only when I came in to pay that they tried to charge me double the price. No quote had been written down and I was forced to pay the additional fee. When I tried to pay by debit card I was told it was cash only and they refused my payment. Not being able to pay cash I left the shop in total disbelief of how I had been treated and spoken to. Minutes later the shop rang me and demanded that I come back in and pay upfront for the alterations before they commenced any work on my trousers. In the end they undid my trousers back to what they were and I collected them incomplete.
They tried to bully me in paying a price that was over and above the agreed quotation. They tried to bully me into paying for their service in advance. The shop was extremely rude to me, implied that I was deceitful and treated me with such disrespect and poor demeanour. In the end I had to take my alterations elsewhere after two weeks time wasted with A Rapido.

Weddings
Whilst couples tend to give much thought to their choice of music for their evening entertainment, they frequently forget to consider their requirements for the ceremony and the rest of the day. Beautiful live string music is so much more personal than playing a cd during your ceremony. Also, good hosts appreciate the need to keep their guests happy, relaxed and in a party mood throughout the day and a string group is one of the classiest ways to do this, especially during the time the photographs are being taken.
Ariella Strings can be a quartet, trio or duo making us accessible to all budgets. Beautiful string music at a wedding can make such a difference. An experienced string group playing popular classics, love songs and ballades in the background during the drinks reception or wedding breakfast create the most wonderful relaxing atmosphere and enhance everybodies experience of the day.
Parties/anniversaries
When you have a party or anniversary it is always lovely to have something a little bit different. A string group can be enjoyed by your guests throughout your celebration, either playing in the background or being an active part of your event. We have an extensive repertoire, providing entertainment for all sorts of musical tastes. Hiring us will be a talking point for future memories and your party will certainly be remembered as different.
Funerals
The death of a loved one is a very traumatic event. We have frequently been asked to provide music for funerals, playing as friends and family arrive at the Church and also perhaps playing the deceaseds favourite music. String music is soothing and meditative and can help ease overwhelming emotions. Past clients have thanked us for helping to make the funeral more bearable and we feel privileged to be able to help in this way.
Corporate events and functions
We have an extensive repertoire and lots of experience playing for corporate events and functions. Our music ranges from popular classics, through to jazzy, pop and christmassy. Having a string group playing in the background can add a great atmosphere while your guests mingle and chat. Dont worry about us not being heard, we have amplification if needed and it is all PAT tested.
Remember...............hiring a good string group can be a minefield. Quartet, Trio or Duo playing is a specialist skill and takes years to perfect - a few people thrown together for your function is not something you want. You simply would not contemplate hiring a catering company who was made up of people who had never worked together before. That would be disastrous. So dont settle for a substandard string group either.

"I urgently needed a Starter Motor fitted to my Renault Clio. I contatcted Ledster the Mechanic on Saturday night, by Sunday am I had a quote to fit, and yes very competitive. I asked about sourcing. He reverted on Monday am with yet again an good deal. So by Tuesday I was on the road again. I would not hesitate in using again and will pass his details to friends who need a mechanic "

Awful service!
"Went to have dinner, restaurant only half full but needed to wait almost two hours for the food to come. When we chased them up after an hour an a half. The manager said"yes, you will have to wait.' !!!? What a poor service. Food came, below average. The finally bill was cheeky enough to include a service charge!! They didn't even bothered to give us the changes after all expected us to give them tips!!!? I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone."

Can't be any better!
"When first visited Lina, she listened to what I had to say and took her time to make sure I got what I wanted. The result was fantastic, finally I got the colour exactly I wanted which could never get in other salons before.
Since then I have been going to Lina every 2 months, I get fantastic cut, colour and highlights each time. She is consistently great! I have also had my prom hair done by Lina a few times for a number special events. I could not imagine what Lina did was possible to achieve with my hair. She is a geat hairdresser and a very nice person! Kelly

Great service at great prices
"I booked my car in to the Kingston branch of Fastfit for an MOT a month ago and thought the customer service provided was second to none.
I had blocked my window washer and they kindly unblocked this for me, explaining why it was blocked and how to avoid it....they did not charge me any extra for this which is always a bonus.
Really enjoyed the relaxing environment of the waiting room. Tea, magazines, comfy chairs and very importantly biscuits :-). The retro theme certainly fits well with their saying of 'good old fashioned service' which is exactly what I received.
I will most certainly return again."

Polenastics - TRUST me for all shapes and sizes
"If i fill in a few missing blanks that may be some of HELP, I was a size 18 on a diet and have a wedding next year fast approaching and i am like any regular women i think???? that i do not enjoy the gym and all of these exercise classes that you feel like you want to die and give up. I find i will commit to something that i enjoy hopefully you are nodding your head whilst reading this???

I am a lower end of a size 16 and i have being doing pole for a couple of month and like the other reviews was slightly apprehensive on going along to my first class but this has to have been one of the most positive things i have done as everybody was great and made me apart of the class and have made some goods friends.
OMG this is great exercise for toning having fun and achieving something every lesson and is a great conversation stopper lol, My bingo wings are getting toned my core is being toned basically an all round work out.
I am so addicted i actually have a private lesson with my instructor Alex every week as well as going to the group lesson but i have to say you can do as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.
If i can pole REALLY anybody can as i am living proof that you do not have to be slender, its addictive great fun and your toning your body at the same time.

Perfect in Every Way!
"Fixed my washing machine tap quickly and efficiently in August .Had no problem with leaks since whatsoever .Charged a reasonable price which he quoted on the telephone before he arrived .
Polite and mild-mannered .
Couple of weeks later i stupidly damaged my inlet hose ,he replaced it for next to nothing. He only charged me a fiver!"

"I used to see people doing pole and would stare in amazement thinking I wish I could do that! Then I found Polenastics. When I first enquired to Polenastics I was a bit nervous but from the first contact I could tell that they were a very friendly but professional company. I went along to my first lesson with butterflies in my tummy but once I got there it was a very relaxed friendly atmosphere with a variety of types of people taking part from old to young and everyone made me feel at ease. I came away from my first lesson on a high just wanting to do more! From then I was a pole addict!!!!
I am surprised how much my strength, flexibility and muscle tone has improved since I started (which was only a few months ago).
There are classes pretty much everyday or 1-2-1's and I have even had a provate lesson with a few friends which i find great as I am a mum and my partner does shifts which sometimes makes it difficult to be at the same place at the same time every week but I always manage to get my pole fix in every week! Its one of very few things I get to do for myself these days and I wouldnt give it up for anything!
It is a great team to be a part of and I would say defiantly get booked in and give it a go."

A talented band with a good range of songs

I love the fact that I am looking after my body and learning an art! I think I have had 6 lessons and was addicted after the first, my Saturdays used to be made for clubbing and now its all about the pole! "I started pole in Feb this year after listening to my friend going on and on about how great it was. I went mostly to amuse her but after such a fun first lesson i soon found myself going back each week..sometimes twice a week to learn new moves and practice those ones i couldnt quite get. Be Warned.. this exercise is very addictive!! :)
You dont have to be super fit to do pole and there are many shapes and sizes in the classes which is great! The polenastics team are super at all times and make the classes very relaxed and fun for all!
Book in now and you will see for yourself that Polenastics is A+

Not a happy pet owner
"Prices are expensive compared to other local vet surgeries but it was explained to us that because they have a hospital they have more overheads to cover. Expected to receive a quality service but was very sadly disappointed.
Two male dogs castrated - both came down with infections that MK Vet Group did not attend to properly. Ended up having to see an out of hours vet for emergency treatment.
Female dog with health issues had some very expensive blood tests. After 2 weeks we called for the results to be told a vet would call us back.
After no phone call was forthcoming we called again for the results only to be told that some tests were back but that results are only given between 4pm and 4.30pm. I guess we will be calling yet again tomorrow.....
Premium prices with a second rate service. I would not recommend this Vet Group at all."

"I would like to comment on how amazing the chinese cuisine I had at Eight Blessing Restaurant last night. We went there for an evening meal, their menu is very extensive and had a wide variety. I wanted to choose everything!
The staff were helpful in helping me make my choices and they were very polite. The prices of the dishes I thought were reasonable, and the atmosphere there was warm and enjoyable. I would definitely go back there. I have also tried their dim sum, and I think it is the best there in Milton Keynes. "

One of the best therapists...
"Recently after paddling a sea kayak followed by a swim in cold water, I developed severe sciatica. I tried to sort it by stretching but needed to see Vanya for help. In one session she diagnosed the problem area, treated it and agreed stretches that maintain a freedom from sciatica. I regard her as one of the best therapists that I have ever come across. John P."

Bathroom tiled
"Ian tiled our bathroom with Travertine tiles and it looks an absolute dream. He answered all our questions, and we had quite a few of them, was courteous and reliable. We will be recommending him to our friends if and when they need tiling work done."
