35 years ago, a young artist called Tom Lindhardt Willis witnessed an event which changed the world of children's play. One of his bright, large sculptures had been placed in a new housing estate to add colour to the otherwise drab surroundings. Realising that children were more interested in playing on it rather than admiring it, he began work on creating a dedicated, child-focused play equipment company - KOMPAN.
