I have been struggling with my weight
"I have been struggling with my weight since I was a child.
I am 34 years young and really keen to start living my life as a healthy person without the burden of the buldge!
After 23 long years of trying every diet known to man, I decided I needed a new approach to losing weight.
I stumbled across Happy Bodies which described a programme working with a personal trainer and a small group of people who needed to lose weight. The programme’s design, it said was to give nutritional advice and support for exercise.
Reluctantly I thought I’d give it a go – well what had I got to lose…..besides loads of weight!
I was really nervous about starting something new and scared of the exercise as I knew I found it hard just climbing the stairs at home, but I was determined to try, I needed to try. My self esteem and confidence were at rock bottom and I was becoming somewhat of a recluse and a real couch potato.
When I first started I could manage about 6 minutes on the treadmill at a slow walking pace – but I instantly loved it, it made me feel really good about myself – that I was taking control and taking steps towards a fitter me!
Since starting the programme I have come a really long way physically and emotionally, I can manage 1 whole hour of training on the cross trainer – something I thought I would never achieve.
I’m exercising 6 days per week and I feel fantastic, I feel fitter and my self esteem and confidence has improved.
The support and motivation I have had from Laura and the other group members at Happy Bodies has been phenomenal, Laura instinctively knows the difficulties I face and really helps me through, she believes in me and my ability and it’s that belief that makes the difference , having someone who believes in me is just amazing.
Happy bodies has helped me to feel inspired, enthusiastic and positive about my future.
I still have a long way to go and lots of weight to lose but I know I will achieve my goals – whatever happens there’s no going back!
