Assistant Transport Manager

My client a market leading business based in Rochester is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Transport Manager.
Duties
Participate in the management of drivers by attending safety meetings, monitoring absence, completing spot assessments etc. ensuring that their performance is meeting the required standard.
Manage the fleet resources, in conjunction with the Transport Manager, ensuring that profitability regarding vehicle and equipment utilisation, is maximised.
Manage the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, in conjunction with the Fleet Engineer, ensuring that regulations and standards are fully met.
