Full cast announced for June dates of new adaptations of Slemen's scary tales at St. George's Concert Room.

Mother and daughter acting team Lynn Francis and Jamie Hampson have been confirmed amongst the cast performing at the sell-out series of dramatic storytelling 'Tales From Haunted Liverpool' at St. George's Concert Room from Friday 15th - Sunday 17th October 2010.

Tales from Haunted Liverpool (volumes 5-6) sees the return of production favourite Brian Dodd (Blood Wedding and Wall Talks) and from the November production is Stephen Fletcher (Night Collar and Funny Money).

New to the pool of actors is Lynn Francis (The Salon and Doctors) and following her show stopping performance in March is Jamie Hampson, formerly known as Jamie Clarke (Twopence to Cross the Mersey and The Royal).

Following the sell-out Nov 2009 and Mar 2010 runs, these events are rapidly becoming Liverpool's most sought-after theatre experience as Tom Slemen's famous 'Haunted Liverpool' books come to life.

Now, volumes 5 and 6 awaken in an atmospheric re-telling of his chilling tales, the third in this popular series of performances.

Tales from Haunted Liverpool is performed by some of Liverpool's best-loved and multi-talented performers who take you on a journey into Liverpool's dark supernatural world bringing the characters of past and present to life.

The four actors cleverly deliver readings, performance, musical interludes and haunting melodies utilising every inch of the stunning concert room, making this a unique theatrical experience that leaves you wanting more.

Tales from Haunted Liverpool is adapted and directed by Jen Heyes who has built up an extensive portfolio in theatre production and direction, along with Lorca’s Blood Wedding at the Liverpool Playhouse in November 08 * * * * The Guardian

Director Jen Heyes said "A large number of our audiences are obviously Slemen fans but you can equally enjoy them if you are not. Myself and the cast realise that we have a huge responsibility when telling these tales to our audiences as they have already been acted out again and again within people’s imaginations".

Tom Slemen has written 9 books of 'Haunted Liverpool' 2 books of 'Haunted Wirral' and the Haunted City book, all of which contains many spine tingling tales of Liverpool past and present, these books have regularly been number 1 in the Liverpool bestselling book charts.

Tom Slemen also has very popular columns in the Liverpool Echo and Lifestyle Monthly magazine and he also has a weekly spot on BBC Radio Merseyside.

Built in the 1840s, St. George's Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest neo-classical buildings in the world and is a Grade I listed building. The opulent refurbished Concert Room has been a long standing favourite for readings, including Charles Dickens himself who gave so many readings from the stage and regarded it as a perfect venue.
