Tickets: £8.50 (£7 concessions) Common Ground Theatre Company return to the Drill Hall with this dramatic adaptation of Cider With Rosie. Written in 1959, Cider With Rosie is the first part of a trilogy by Laurie Lee recounting the author's childhood experiences in rural Gloucestershire at the end of the First World War. The story chronicles the traditional village way of life which disappeared in the inter-war years with the advent of new developments such as the motor car and the mechanisation of farming. The identity of Rosie was revealed years later to be Lee's distant cousin Rosalind Buckland.
