My name is Zak. My family originate from Malawi Africa although I am of Indian descent and was born in Dundee, Scotland.  I now live and work in Leicester. I have been in business for the last 20 years.  In 1995 I launched a packaging company Nexxus (UK) Ltd with my brother Naz, which we managed successfully for over 8 years.

This business expanded to a point where the supply portfolio included household names such as NCR, Hewlett Packard & Compaq. Our packaging was used to distribute products to large blue chip companies like M&S & Tesco, and was employing over 40 people with approximately 40,000sq.ft.of manufacturing and warehousing space, forming part of the supply chain to companies the length and breadth of the UK. We sold the company to our staff in a management buyout just over 3 years ago.

Since then I have acted as a consultant for a number of new startup businesses and have assisted them in gaining traction operationally. I once again joined forces with Naz in CityLocal and I am predominantly involved in promoting business locally and nationally.
