A brand new flexible, serviced working and meeting space in the HEART of Headingley Leeds.

HEART is the flagship project of Headingley Development Trust (HDT) and represents the culmination of a five year dream to keep a much loved old primary school building in community use.

Our vision is to create a vibrant and welcoming space for a wide range of people to meet, mix, work and play.

Our wish is for HEART to thrive through the ideas and activities of the people who use it.

Our ethos is to reduce the environmental impact of the building through its built-in energy saving features, and by encouraging users of the building to reuse, recycle and use the excellent public transport routes whenever possible.

HEART offers you 13 rooms of different shapes and sizes, including a spacious hall, that can be hired individually or in a range of combinations as required for events:

• Small conferences for between 20 - 100 people*
• Workspace meeting rooms
• Social events
• Arts Performances
• Community groups
• One to one consultations

Two of the larger rooms are soundproofed and available in the evenings as rehearsal space if required. The hall can be arranged in a variety of ways to suit the occasion, and will have PA and lighting equipment available on request.

With cakes and pastries being baked throughout the day people will always get a chance to buy something fresh out of the oven to enjoy with their refreshment. There is a selection of fantastic loose leaf tea that has been selected for quality, taste and also health properties-very refreshing!

For coffee lovers we have delicious British roasted coffee beans that have been ethically sourced and certified. We also have a great selection of locally brewed beers and ales, as well as excellent wine to share with friends!

Outside catering

We are also able to provide outside catering for any privately held events and are ideally placed to assist you with your catering needs. We have vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free food on offer in the cafe, these will be listed accordingly but if there are any special dietary requirements that we haven't catered for please tell our staff and they will be more than happy to help.

Creche  - Young @ HEART

Welcome to our high street creche service where parents can book 24 hours in advance (to avoid dissapointment) and leave their child in safe hands for one or two hour sessions (pricing is £6 for one hour or £10 for two hours).
