Manager- Internal Control-1200277 Description The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) provides technical accounting guidance globally to all businesses and staff groups, monitors emerging GAAP (US and IFRS) and develops and maintains the company?s global finance policies. Within TAG, the IFRS Center of Excellence (IFRS COE) is responsible for supporting and advising local markets on IFRS filings and related technical issues, IFRS policies, assisting markets in the 1st-time adoption of IFRS and also staying on the leading front of emerging IFRS guidance and US GAAP convergence. Individuals with a specific knowledge of IFRS will also have the opportunity to support the IFRS technical accounting needs of various American Express business units and legal entities. In addition, this role will involve supporting 1st level investigation of US GAAP accounting issues and related documentation related to businesses in EMEA and other subject matter specific issues, and proposing an appropriate resolution.
