Harrow players to join Howell at St Albans

David Howell says "four or five" of his old Harrow Borough squad will be joining him at St Albans City.

He has given his first interview since beginning work at Clarence Park, after leaving Boro' to become the new Saints manager earlier this summer.

Speaking to the club's official Saintsnet website, he said: "At the moment I'm looking to bring four or five, who have agreed to come, but what I don't want to do is go into Harrow and raid them of all their players.

"The ones I definitely wanted have come, there may be one or two others, but we'll just see how it goes."

Meanwhile Boro' defender Ryan Watts has joined Barnet on trial and will spend two weeks with the League Two side in a bid to win a professional deal.
