Welcome to our 4th Relay in Harrow. If you attended any of our three previous events you'll know just how joyful and powerful they were.


We intend to make this year's event even bigger and better! Infact this year we have merged with Ruislip to form the all new Relay For Life Harrow and Ruislip. Our Organising Committee has been inspired by the enthusiasm of our teams and by the spirit of our cancer Survivors. In 2008, between the two Relays we raised well over £100,000 with more than 60 cancer survivors walking the opening lap, supported by 40 teams. This year we are looking to recruit even more teams and to raise just as much money - and hopefully far more. Do get in touch if you are willing to enter a team! We also want to attract even more people to attend on the day to make our Relay the premier community event in the Harrow and Ruislip calendar.

What is Relay
Relay For Life is a unique fundraising event. It gives your community the chance to celebrate the lives of those touched by cancer and to raise money to bring hope for the future.

Fundraising before the day
We encourage our teams to fundraise in advance of the event so we are not dependent on good weather. But they will all be there with their stalls and there will be plenty of opportunities to part with your money for a good cause on the day.

On the day
Survivors lap of honour
Our opening lap is walked by our special guests the cancer survivors. Please come and share in this emotional experience if you have ever heard those words "you've got cancer" or have supported a loved one through this experience.

Candle of Hope
This ceremony will take place at 8.30pm - we'll give more details closer to the event

Entertainment and activities
A full programme of dance, singing, performances, acts, sports and competitions is planned for 2009. More details to follow shortly!
