Waterways Talks

Start date: 26th January 2010 until 23rd March 2010

A wide ranging series of FREE talks organised by the Friends of the Waterways Museum will be taking place on the 26th January, 23rd February and the 23rd March at 7.30pm. The talks are taking place in the Cory Room, part of the Coots Café Bar complex, next to the museum. The talks have been organised by the Friends of the museum to appeal to a wide range of interests. January sees ‘Confessions of a Photographer with a One Track Mind’ a talk by railway enthusiast Peter Berry. Februarys talk, ‘The History and Restoration of the Hereford and Gloucester Canal’ is by Fred Beagles and in March ‘Tales from the River Severn’ shows a specially commissioned film about life on the River Severn which brings together a rich collection of archive material. The talks last approximately an hour and afterwards there is a chance to refresh with a tea or coffee and discuss the talk, socialise and find out the latest news about the museum and Gloucester heritage in general.
