Walk Ten Gibside 2012 for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Light up the night for Marie Curie Nurses

Last year over 7,600 walkers attended Walk Ten events around the country raising over £436,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This year sets out to be even bigger with a brand new walk taking place in the North East. Join us for a sponsored 10k walk with a difference at Gibside this summer and raise money to help our Marie Curie Nurses continue providing care for terminally ill patients in your area.

Gain exclusive access to this amazing National Trust property, explore the woodland and enjoy the riverside walk whilst watching the sunset over the stunning Derwent Valley. Ensure you pack your picnic basket, then sit back and soak up our festival-like atmosphere afterwards as we gather to celebrate the work of your local Marie Curie Nurses with live music and family entertainment.

The evening will end with celebrations to mark the time Marie Curie Nurses begin their night shifts – to remember the fantastic work they do in caring for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses.

The event will take place on Saturday 1st September 2012 starting from 6pm.
