Scotland UKIP Chairman Mike Scott-Hayward trashes Tory 'triumph'

Scotland UKIP Chairman Mike Scott-Hayward trashes Tory 'triumph'

"The Scottish Conservative machine is now focused on polishing up and invigorating the image of their new and previously nondescript leader, whilst still floundering on policy", according to UKIP Scotland Chairman Mike Scott-Hayward

"The new wee leader has started with an ego trip borrowed from defeated and long serving leadership candidate Murdo Fraser's brief in ticking off David Cameron - her first concession to Fraser's dream to divest the Scottish Tories of their UK credentials.

This will confuse the loyal British Tories in Scotland. They rejected Fraser's breakaway from the UK but see the wee'un kick boxing the real boss - anomalously of itself something they may welcome as many good Tories privately despair of Cameron. The wee'un has spotted that much, but this creates the question; so who are the Tories, now?

"Coming days, even months, or more, will see a smiling Fraser alongside the wee'un. I guess he may have a dagger under his cloak and all this is a pity as what they need, and we all need, is a party, like UKIP, really prepared to dilute the evils of devolution, the crazy competition between powers in the UK and, the elephant still to be ejected from the room, European Union bureaucracy.

"British Tories in Scotland should call me, Mike Scott-Hayward, about the benefits of joining UKIP.

One serious look at our manifesto will show them what is in their hearts: MPs with equal status across the UK but also acting for their own 'domestic' nation, a sovereign United Kingdom free from the rules and diktats of Brusselcracy, properly equipped Armed Services of the right size, some interesting, workable changes to the benefits system, abolishing the poverty trap, and, significantly for Scotland, ceasing the daft Wind Turbine plague.

"We need control of our country, our fishing and our lives. UKIP is now just 1% behind the Lib Dems; we are rising as they fall. British Tories, indeed any who believe in the Union, of whatever political complexion, will secretly concede, on reading the UKIP manifesto carefully, that there is a way forward."
