Provost of Fife Frances Melville welcomes the German delegation to Dunfermline
The German town of Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony and Dunfermline recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of their twinning link.
The Mayor of Wilhelmshaven Eberhard Menzel and his wife Ursula came over for the occasion, together with Günther Marggraf, a member of the local community.
A choir from Wilhelmshaven, the Coro Piccolo, was also present, guests of local choir the Kingdom Singers who the year before performed for the Mayor in Wilhelmshaven.
Provost of Fife Frances Melville welcomed the welcomed the German delegates, the choirs and members of the twinning association to Dunfermline at a civic reception in the City Chambers. The party also attended a musical performance in Dunfermline Abbey ,a Ceilidh and were given a tour to see recent housing and business developments in the city of Dunfermline.
