Police are appealing for information after a burglary took place in Portsmouth.
Sometime between 11.40am and 2.10pm on Thursday, February 4, the offender(s) broke into a house located at the South end of Copnor Road, Portsmouth, by forcing open the UPVC door.
The offender(s) left with numerous items including a Nintendo Wii with controllers, a black Apple Mac laptop and external hard drive, and a leather clad jewellery box which contained £1,000 worth of jewellery, including a matching silver necklace and bracelet.
A man and woman were seen in the area during the day, and were reported to have been acting suspiciously.
PC Allison Fraser said: "This is an unusual incident which has taken place during a relatively small time frame. The family have been left very shaken by this incident and the stolen jewellery is of great sentimental value to them.
"It may be that you see these items being offered for sale locally; this may be door to door, or at a pub or similar. Please report any information you have to the police, and if we trace the stolen items we may be able to return them to their rightful owners. Equally, if you see anyone acting suspiciously, note their description and call the police"
