Falkirk Council has been asked to arrange for the closure of the A905 (Wholeflats Road) in Grangemeouth between Saturday 20th August from 8pm until Monday 22th August 7am.
This is to facilitate the filming of a major Hollywood movie and to ensure public/vehicle safety in the area.
The closure will affect the road between the Wholeflats Roundabout at Grange Road as far as the Inveravon Roundabout (at the junction of the A904).
In addition, there will be no access to/from Wholeflats Road from the Jinkabout Bridge as well as from/to Inveravon Rd.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible and diversion signage is in place (via Inchyra Road and Bo'ness Road). Access to all industry is being maintained and in the event of any major incident, emergency vehicles would have immediate access to the site.
The road may be open during some of this period due to filming schedules.
Inspector Ian Scott from Central Scotland Police said: "We recognise that there may be significant local interest in this filming taking place and would urge members of the public to take extra care on the roads and for drivers to be aware there may be pedestrians in the area."
