Bespoke rocking horse stolen

Officers are investigating the theft of a valuable hand-made rocking horse.

The wooden horse, which stands nearly five foot high, is over six foot in length and has a real horse-hair mane and tail, was being stored at East Gogar Farm in Blairlogie when it was stolen some time between June 1 and August 1.

Made to order in Kent, the horse is valued at a four figure sum and made from solid oak. It is varnished brown in colour, and furnished with a leather saddle and a metal plaque on the front beam with the inscription "For Alistair and Rachel Love Mum and Dad Xmas 2002".

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been offered the rocking horse for sale or who may be able to assist with their enquiries to come forward.
