You can make a blog post about almost anything local and have your views and comments published on CityLocal . You can also comment on other peoples posts if their blog grabs your attention!

All blogs posts are reviewed before being approved and published. To avoid your blog from not being published, please adhere to our general guidelines set out below.

1. Write Unique Content. If your blog has already been published elsewhere, DO NOT publish it here.

2. Please do not blatantly sell or promote your business/services here as these blogs will be rejected. This is a public area for people to share their views. If you want to advertise your services please contact us and we will be able to help you. You are however more than welcome to blog about topics that are related to your business that you think would be of interest to the reader.

3. Please only post a blog on one town / city on CityLocal. Blogs posted on multiple towns / cities will be rejected.

4. Please do not post your blog here if you have posted this blog elsewhere on CityLocal or on another website already. If you reword it completely, then you can post it here.

5. Please don't attack other bloggers. Better still, tell us why your blog is of interest!

1. Use proper language and grammar If your blog is difficult to read, has bad grammar or poorly written, you can very quickly turn away potentially interested readers.

2. Be original. Do not simply copy another blog you have read elsewhere. Aside from potentially infringing copyright and getting you into hot water, people want to hear what you have to say.

3. Rather than simply promote yourself, write about topics that could interest the reader and make them want to read any future blogs your post.

4. Add personality to your blog and make it short, sharp and punchy.
