Risk Manager/Solvency II

Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a Risk Manager with detailed current expertise of Solvency II, for a well respected and instantly recognisable insurance company near Reigate. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this role will either be a 12 mon fixed term contract, or ideally, a more permanent fixture. The main purpose of the role will be to ensure that appropriate documented systems and controls are in place to maintain an effective management framework. In addition, for the role of Risk Manager you will also be responsible for designing, developing and managing risk management tools and processes, to achieve and maintain compliance within regulatory qualifications. Some of the challenges lying ahead for the successful applicant include: understanding the complexities of the Solvency II directive, relating in particular to the risk management function and to the relationship between risk assessment and capital management
