Dundee & Tayside Crime Bulletin

In the city centre of Dundee a 28-year-old man was set upon by four men in the West Marketgait area at about 12.20 yesterday morning (Monday, June 15).

The victim had been walking with his girlfriend not far from Palais Court, when the men crossed over West Marketgait and assaulted him. All are described as wearing white linen shirts.

The man was slightly injury but didn't need any medical attention.

Elsewhere in the city a 60-year-old man was robbed of his wallet by a man who he met a short time before and went for a drink with.

He had been in the High Street between 9.30 and 11.30am yesterday (June 15) when a man described as being six feet tall, slim and wearing a blue woollen hat struck up a conversation with him.

The pair then went to a nearby pub and thereafter went to in the St Andrews Lane. It was there that the 60-year-old had his wallet - containing a three figure sum of cash - taken from him by the other man who then ran off.

To Oranges & Lemons Nursery in Clement Park Place now, where children's play equipment worth about £230 was stolen from a shed.

The theft happened sometime between 5.20pm on Friday (June 12) and 9am yesterday (June 15).

Stolen were two red and black piggyback trikes and two twin-wheeled scooters.

And finally to Fintry Gardens in Dundee where thieves sneaked into a garden and stole a five-year-old's bike yesterday evening (June 15).

The red and blue bike - which the youngster received as a Christmas present - was taken sometime between 5.15pm and 5.40pm.
