Tastebuds around the county and beyond will soon be tempted at the ninth Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair.
Foodies from up and down the country will be converging on Kedleston Hall, near Derby on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 May for the fair, organised by Derbyshire County Council.
Entry to the event is £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions, including Gold Card holders. Children under 16 years get into the fair for free and tickets entitle visitors to half price entry to Kedleston Hall and Gardens. Opening times are 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
Derbyshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Councillor Simon Spencer, said: "We're delighted to be bringing the Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair to Kedleston Hall for the first time. It's a fantastic venue and I'm sure it will prove to be a popular place to hold the fair."
Thousands flocked to the Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair last year and this year it is likely to prove even more popular as there are more stalls, events and entertainment than ever.
The event is supported by celebrity chef Brian Turner who will be demonstrating his culinary skills over the weekend in the cookery theatre. There will also be a host of chefs from Derbyshire eateries demonstrating their signature dishes and giving people culinary advice and tips, including Max Fischer of Michelin-starred Fischer's at Baslow Hall, who will be demonstrating at 12noon on Saturday 22nd May.
A wide selection of locally produced goods including chocolates, meats, cheeses, smoked goods, pies, pickles, cakes, beer and wine will be on sale during the fair and many stall holders will be offering free tasting sessions.
As well as a vast array of local produce at the fair there will also be a large craft fair, crafts@kedleston, displaying a wide range of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts.
There will be live music and a wide range of family entertainment to keep people of all ages amused.
The children's activity area is back by popular demand and will include smoothie-making, face painting, demonstrations and a bouncy castle.
