Fire destroys hedge and garden sheds
Police are appealing for information after a hedge and two sheds were destroyed by fire on Sunday June 14.
The fire was reported at 8.20pm and started on Draycott Park. It spread to trees and a hedge at the bottom of a garden on Mapleton Road, Draycott.
It then spread up the garden and destroyed a two garden sheds too.
A witness reported seeing four people on push bikes riding off from the scene of the fire. All four were wearing hooded tops, two of the tops were black, one was red and the fourth was white. One of the bikes was a mountain-type and had a row of red reflectors on the saddle.
Ten trees, 12 feet tall, owned by the local parish council, were damaged.
PC Jonathan Reeves from the Breaston and Draycott Safer Neighbourhood Team, has appealed for anyone else who has information to contact him on 0345 123 33 33 .
