The new management want to retain the well renowned charm of this popular real ale pub whilst offering  an extensive NEW MENU , with healthy alternatives at lunchtime. It’s a great place to go with your colleagues, especially if you enjoy traditional home cooked Derbyshire favourites such as meat and potato pie with a choice of real ales such as Thornbridge Jaipur, Whim Arbor Light, Thornbridge Galaxia, or Bishops Farewell, to name but a few.

Situated just around the corner from the Cathedral it’s a peaceful alternative on the edge of town which has recently been refurbished inside and has the additional benefit of a private garden area so you can enjoy your lunchtime food outside, weather permitting!

The chef offers vegetarian options and children’s meals from 12 until 3pm (Monday to Thursday) and until 6pm at the weekend. The speciality Sunday roasts with all the trimmings are very popular, especially at a discounted price of £3.95 for kids and senior citizens.
