Being the largest theatre in Cornwall, the HFC provides a selection of shows and entertainment for all the family. Our selection of shows and entertainment spans plays, comedy, dance, music, classical music & opera. The HFC is a great place to visit and enjoy an evening out or a matinee event with the whole family.

Through the events pages on this website and the HFC website, you can check up on the latest events and what’s on. If you want to learn more about our events in advance of publication or book our events in advance, why not become a ‘friend’ of the HFC. Over the course of a year, we entertain some 180,000 theatre goers with events spanning rock music, classical music, pantomime through to opera, theatre, comedy and children’s entertainment.

In addition to the best touring theatre events, HFC stages some of the best in local talent and you can see a variety of productions by some of the younger performers in the area who come from local schools and drama schools.

Operating as a charitable trust, this enables us to fund our community work and provide a range of great events spanning a range of genres that will appeal to a wide audience. Of course, the HFC is grateful for support funding received from key support partners, local businesses and friends of the HFC.

The theatre also incorporates the “Stars” restaurant with some of our events including a ‘meal deal’ where you can enjoy a meal prior to the show. We also have a coffee bar and function rooms that can be used for business meetings or even a pre-show get together. We also provide a range of catering options to suit your needs.
