For Cornwall portrait photographers, call Mark Ashbee, I specialise in portrait photography as well as landscape and lifestyle photography and run photography workshops in Cornwall for anyone wanting to get the most out of their camera.

My photography workshops are primarily held in the Polzeath and Rock area covering beginners workshops through to advanced workshops. My workshops primarily focus on the two most important aspects that all photographers should consider and they are light and composition.

I can also arrange custom workshops for individuals and groups that are tailored specifically to cover the areas you would like help with and can be held at locations you specify.

My camera workshops are either one to one or limited to groups of 6 people and you will need a Digital Camera or a 35mm camera. Ideally, SLR cameras are best and you should bring a tripod and have a telephoto lens, a wide angle lens and don’t forget spare batteries, additional memory cards and black and white film and it’s a good idea to bring along your camera’s operating manual.

My portrait work is ideal for anyone wanting to get portraits of the family or a portrait of one of the children. I can do digital only portraits and load the images on to a CD-ROM or print them for you. For fans or black and white imagery, I also have a black and white package that includes two of the images shot being printed in my lab as well as digital versions. A typical session usually takes between one and two hours and can include an individual or group portrait or a mixture of both.

On top of the portrait service, I can also be hired for digital work covering such things as website images, public relations and advertising. Some of my corporate clients include Cornish Mining World, Kelly’s Ice Cream and Ocean Blue Clothing.

I am passionate about photography and firmly believe that portrait photography should be a fun experience for all the family. Having children of my own enables me to work with the entire family by making the entire event fun and stress free for all concerned.

I have worked for a number of well known photographers including Jamie Morgan, Lord Lichfield and Vogue to name but a few and still shoot on film. I do use digital cameras but, fell they do not have the same quality and overall feel to the final image that I can achieve using film.
