Queen's Park in Chesterfield got into the festive mood on Saturday when over 50 local people joined in with craft activities. Children and adults braved the cold but sunny weather to make Christmas wreaths for their homes and yuletide logs for the dinner table.
It was glitter galore as children also made their own Christmas cards and recycled old CD's into photo frames, drinks coasters and interesting baubles.
Going along with the green theme, people had the chance to pick up some Christmas tips to reduce their bills and pick up leaflets advising them on composting, recycling and keeping the home warm.
Sarah Poulton, Queen's Park Development Officer at Chesterfield Borough Council, said: "We all had a lot of fun and people really got into the Christmas spirit. It's become an annual event at the Park and we're pleased so many people turned out to take part."
