Kent Police in Ashford are praising the community and visitors to the Create Music Festival, following an incident free weekend.
Neighbourhood Inspector Andrew Judd said: 'The festival passed off without an incident. We received only one call, which was to report nuisance parking in Jemmett Road. Considering the amount of visitors who attended the event this is an excellent result.'
Neighbourhood officers, PCSOs and special constables were joined by the Create Festival's own security, and the area was fenced off.
'There were a number of factors that contributed to the outcome.' Said Inspector Judd. 'Good planning and preparation, well organised and managed event and good partnership working between event security and the neighbourhood policing unit, as well as a good natured crowd made Create a enjoyable family day out.'
