The Rotary Club of Orpington

With more than a million members and over 31,000 clubs, spread across 186 countries, Rotary International donates more than 25 million pounds each year, to provide an unequalled service to communities around the world, and offer assistance to those in need, whilst promoting goodwill, peace, and high ethical business standards.

The membership of the Rotary Club is drawn from members of the local professional and business community. The Rotary Club of Orpington was formed in 1939 and has been contionuously active since then. The club is particularly supportive of members of the local community, whilst at the same time not forgetting the needs of those around the world, regardless of race, colour or creed.

The object of Rotary includes fostering international understanding through the promotion of fellowship between professionals around the world, and recognising that individual friendship is an opportunity to serve society in general.

The Orpington Rotary Club meets at Chelsfield Lakes Golf Centre each Wednesday at 7.00pm, and dinner is usually accompanied by a guest speaker.
