Businesses given great opportunity to network
Businesses from across the borough have the opportunity to join a special networking event on Tuesday 21 July 2009.
Organised by Basingstoke Networking and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the event is for companies with five to 100 employees. It will give attendees the opportunity to network and promote their business to many of the other companies attending.
Following a pilot event held in May, nearly 40 businesses have already committed to the July event, where the borough council's procurement team will be on hand to give help and advice about selling to the council.
Leader of the council Cllr Andrew Finney said: "I'd like to encourage as many businesses as possible to register to attend the event. This will give a great opportunity to meet other people running similar sized companies.
"In these difficult economic times it's important for businesses to support each other to survive and grow."
Those wanting to attend should log onto Basingstoke Networking's website at www.basingstokenetworking.co.uk to register. The entrance fee is £5 and due to the high demand for places it will be on a ‘first come, first served' basis. Registration is essential due to the popularity of this innovative, networking format.
The event will open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start and finish by 9pm.
