A "Hart-warming" Experience

"I visited Hart Veterinary Centre in Waddesdon on their open day last year and was immediately struck by their open, friendly approach realising immediately that “healthcare with compassion” is more than just an advertising slogan. I had been looking for a new vet for months without finding “the one”, and signed up straight away.

I have two Yorkies, both reaching the latter years of their lives, and it’s important to me that they have the best care possible. Hart Veterinary Centre has the top level accreditation, and an animal hospital at Bicester with 24 hour continual nursing care for inpatients offering me peace of mind. I used to hate the idea of leaving my dogs alone overnight in hospital wards after traumatic procedures but now I no longer have to worry.

My boys see the same vet every visit enabling the vet to build a relationship with the dogs, and likewise they are now comfortable with going to the vets. Previously they would become agitated at going to the vets, and we would be passed from one vet to another where it was impossible for a vet to build a relationship with the dog. At Hart, in the few months we’ve been there, they have become to understand each dog’s very different personalities, needs and medical histories and really treat the boys like they are their own.

Both dogs have also lost weight and continue to do so through Hart’s free weight clinic and prescription pet food. It has been done so through a friendly, non-judgemental, and supportive environment contrary to my previous experiences at other practices. As a result I have two happier and healthier dogs, who love carrots, and can’t wait to get onto those surgery scales to show off their new slender figures!

If anybody is looking for a local vet, or is thinking of changing vets for whatever reason, I can highly recommend Hart Veterinary Centre in Waddesdon backed by the fully accredited hospital in Bicester. They are a friendly, family run practice, and their level of commitment and customer service is excellent, and when I say “customer” service I am referring of course to both humans and animals. It’s nice to have a thoroughly “hart-warming” experience.
